Naomi Kinjo received her Masters in Bilingual/Bicultural Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in May 2015. She currently teaches at a Japanese-English dual language program in Glendale, Southern California. As the daughter of a Japanese mother and American father, she has personal experience growing up immersed in a bilingual/bicultural environment. Her interests include the identity development of mixed-race children, social justice in education, and the intersectionality of language, culture, and race.
