Over the past 10 years more than 90,000 multilingual shadowing projects have been conducted, with dramatic results, in California and across the country. In fact, in 2018, Education Trust-West acknowledged Shadowing as a "promising practice for honoring and leveraging English learner students' backgrounds, cultures, and home languages, as assets for math learning". This session will highlight how Shadowing can be used systemically as a promising practice in virtual or face-to-face classrooms regardless of the subject matter.
