Dr. Knoell will share strategies, best practices, and engaging ideas and activities, to help every Bilingual Learner successfully comprehend what they read, develop and expand their vocabularies across the curriculum, and develop language proficiency. She will offer and demonstrate strategies to construct meaning of both fiction and nonfiction text, helping students meet Common Core Standards, while developing their critical thinking and communication skills. She will share engaging vocabulary strategies, demonstrating the richness and fun of words. She will offer ready-to-use lesson ideas, and differentiation techniques, to help students develop a love of words, the joy of reading, and to help unleash their academic potential.
