This presentation focuses on key practices to ensure equity and quality in English Learners' experiences and outcomes in dual language programs. Equity principles for bilingual/dual language teacher preparation and professional learning must: 1) identify epistemic practices grounded in research; 2) define knowledge-in-practice for bilingual educators; and 3) be conceptually and theoretically informed. Drawing from the findings and analysis of multiple classroom artifacts and teacher interviews , the framework for bilingual teaching epistemologies is presented for reflection and dialogue with participants.
