This presentation will focus on a university's effort to outreach and engage Latino and other families in bilingual community education through viable programs from preschool to teens to parent education. Efforts to initiate linkages with teacher education, community based non-profit organizations, local artists and businesses, and local educational agencies will be described. A detailed visual portfolio will showcase these and other community programs, as well as advocacy initiatives, social and cultural events, book and writer's clubs, author presentations and lectures, and community activities. These elements will provide ideas and inspiration for institutions of higher education, community and family members and their schools to collaborate in benefit of enriched community educational opportunities.
