This session provides opportunities to learn concepts/strategies for engaging families and communities through a culturally proficient perspective. You will learn how to use the Tools of Cultural Proficiency for working with diverse communities and with colleagues to co-create systemic practices and policies to devise, implement, and assess family and community engagement actions in schools and districts. You will learn the key 7 C's of engaging families: communication, collaboration, compassion-caring, culture, connection, community, and collective responsibility.
