The Two-Generation Family Engagement Program at Hayward Unified School District (HUSD), in the San Francisco Bay Area, offers promising strategies for school districts and other organizations seeking to engage parents in their child’s education. This research-based approach focuses on serving students and parents together through fun educational activities, such as Family Algebra Academy, story time, and various forms of visual and performing arts.
